ORD 2024-868 is a Threat to Arlington

Currently tracking through the City Council, ORD 2024-868 proposes a text amendment to the City’s Comprehensive Plan which would increase the allowable density in the Low Density Residential (LDR) and Medium Density Residential (MDR) land use categories. The LDR land use category, which includes all of the single-family zoning districts and is the predominant land use in Arlington, would increase from seven units per acre to 20 units per acre in the Urban Area and to 25 units per acre in the Urban Priority Area.
