Community Revitalization

One of our organization's main area of focus is our community revitalization efforts.  Several of Jacksonville's older neighborhoods have accomplished similar goals with tremendous benefits as a result.  We are on the march to improve Arlington to the maximum extent possible.  We are extremely proud of our community, as right we should be.  Arlington has been one of the most important areas within Jacksonville's boundaries as far as historic significance, and as an area of high status as a place to live.  We hope to encourage more citizens to get involved in these efforts.  A larger voice cannot be ignored.  Come out to our meetings and see how you can contribute.

Our community revitalization efforts go hand in hand with our historic preservation efforts.  Community revitalization brings more visitors, shopping, and tourists to see our community.  We have a lot to show off, provided we preserve the parts of our history that we should put on display.  We have identified buildings, properties, locations, etc. that are overdue for preservation and revitalizing.  We aren't fumbling around.  The wheels are already in motion.  It would be unwise to stand in our way, as we are making substantial progress.  Arlington is about to undergo a major face lift, and in fact, we have already started.  You may have noticed a few wrinkles already disappearing.  A nip-and-a-tuck here and there is breathing new life into Arlington.  We are getting set for a few hundred years more of fantastic history making.  Things are starting to improve and the public is starting to take notice.  Feel good about your community and get involved.  You have something to be proud of.

Our newsletters offer some good insight to the progress we are making.
